I have been living with diabetes for the last 26 years. I was diagnosed before diabetes care was available for all in Rwanda. Diabetes has been my worst enemy, but I figured out that the right attitude for me was to make my diagnosis my best friend. With the greater availability of healthcare workforce, technology, and health services, I believe that there is a greater chance for not only surviving but thriving with the disease!

As a young child whose mother suffered a lot from sinusitis I grew up wanting or dreaming to be a medical doctor so that I can treat my mom and other people with serious diseases that are having serious conditions. So I worked hard and went to a high school and did science. After that I went to medical school and now I can see that my dream is going to be achieved soon.
