Kigali, March 17, 2021. This Wednesday March 17, Rwanda Biomedical Centre received donations of 2 Biorad machines offered  by Imbuto Foundation to boost efforts in effectively carrying out COVID-19 PCR tests..

During the event that took place at National Reference Laboratory, Dr. Swaibu GATARE the Head of Department of Biomedical Services has hailed the support of Imbuto Foundation to enhance COVID-19 pandemic testing.

“We are very grateful to Imbuto Foundation for this donation.” Said Dr. Gatare

Imbuto Foundation has donated the machines known as the 'CFX96 Touch Deep Well Real-Time PCR Detection System' in support of the COVID-19 testing .

A Statement from Imbuto Foundation says, "Imbuto Foundation is proud to offer two Biorad machines to Rwanda Biomedical Centre in support of the efforts made to increase capacity of the National Reference Laboratory for COVID-19 testing,".


In the handover ceremony Imbuto Foundation was represented by Ingrid Karangwayire, Head of Resource Mobilisation and Partnerships Department at Imbuto Foundation while Dr. Swaibu GATARE represented Rwanda Biomedical Centre.
