Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana currently serves as Director General of Rwanda Biomedical Centre. He holds extensive experience in HIV program design, strategic planning, implementation, and operational research with a focus on global care and treatment of people living with HIV.
Dr. Sabin holds a Medical Degree (MD) and a Master's Degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Rwanda; a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Basel, Switzerland; and a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology at the Basel Institute of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, University of Basel, Switzerland.
Dr. Sabin served as Principal Investigator for several large research projects, including clinical trials in Rwanda and multi-country research collaborations. He is a fellow at the African Scientific Institute (ASI) and serves as adjunct Assistant Professor of Global Health Delivery at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) in Kigali, Rwanda.
